Why Men Should Never Be Allowed to Babysit
Reason #14

These beads are from Japan circa 1949. They are a beautiful, rich caramel color with foil. They honestly look good enough to eat. Truly a stunning bead and would add class to any piece. Just try them and you'll see! Measure 10x13mm. Sold in lots of 12 for $12.00 . Order Item# BDVN5516.

These beads are from Japan circa 1950 from Cherry Brand. They are a lovely pale blue color, actually the bead starts off opaque white then wrapped with a silver foil and then enclosed with translucent blue giving deep dimension to the bead. Measure 15mm. Sold in lots of 12 for $12.00 . Order Item# BDVN5514.

These beads are also from Japan circa 1950 from Cherry Brand. They are a great purple color and just like the bead above it starts off opaque white then wrapped with a silver foil and then enclosed with translucent purple giving dimension to the bead. The only difference between this one and that one beside the color is the size, this one is a wee bit smaller by 1mm. Measure 14mm. Also sold in lots of 12 for $11.50 . Order Item# BDVN5509.

These beads are from Japan circa 1947. They are a deep sea blue color for the base of the bead. On top of that there is a drizzle pattern of silver foil topped off with a beautiful aqua glass in the same pattern. A very dynamic bead and sometimese called a trailing bead. Absolutely love the color of this bead reminds me of the waters in the Carribean. Oh I wish I were on vacation! Measure 14mm. Also sold in lots of 12 for $13.50 . Order Item# BDVN5502.

These beads are from Japan circa 1948. The base of this bead is black and is semi wrapped in a silver foil giving them more character I think. They then have "drips" of aqua, clear and a little bit of gold here and there. The gold is not on every bead, but you will get a proper mix. Funky bead, the eye is drawn to it and would make any piece pop. Measure 12mm. Sold in lots of 12 for $15.00 . Order Item# BDVN5518.

On the order of the infamous eye bead, these beads hail from Japan circa 1952. Measuring 10mm and fully round, they bear a wave of slightly off color browish whatever on one side. It appears to fade off rapidly towards the other side but not always. Sometimes. The rest of the bead is black. Thenceforth it may therefore be said that these are asymmetrical beads. And that is all I am going to say because it is late and I want to watch the news on that newfangled color TV my wife gave me for my birthday. Never saw one in color before, this ought to be interesting. Sold in lots of 12 for $7.20 per lot. Order#BDVN5369. Opaque.

White with a little rub of pink on one side, another imitation coral bead from the Japanese, 1948. 8mm rounds. Sold in lots of 12 for $7. Order# BD-VN1356.

Light amethyst CUBES measure 4x4mm. Czech in origin, 1948. Sold in lots of 12 for $5. Three lot minimum. Great spacers or use together. Order Number BD-VN1286 because if you don't, you will never see this item.

Ask me what color this bead is and I must tell you: it is something of a hybrid amongst Fuchsia, Hyacinth, and Dark Rose. It is a most gorgeous bead no matter what you call it, and it is AB to boot!! Faceted, measures 12mm, it may have been made by Swarovski. We do not know for sure because the bin only says "Austria, 1956" but not who in Austria. Judging from the looks of it I would say someone who knew what they were doing definitely made this bead. Sold in lots of 6 for $15 or 2 lots for $22.50. Because this one should really be taken by the dozen. You order 2 lots, computer does the rest. Order# BDVN414.

Another old Italian, made in 1949 in Italy where a lot of Italian things came from. Hand painted pink flowers over a cavitated white center, with gold spinning around inside a clear bead. This is a real beauty, looks phenomenal in real life, looks nice on the page too but wait till you hold this bead. We are not responsible if you swoon. This bead is handmade, as most vintage were, and measures from 13-14mm, slightly lump shaped as opposed to round, it is not round, it is not cube, it is lump shaped. Sold in lots of 12 for $21.00, do not expect it to be here too long at that price! ORDER # BDVN2071.

Sometimes called "dog bones" these cylindrical beads were made in West Germany 1948. Beige in color. Some have pins in them, we will not charge for these EVEN THOUGH they too are Vintage. Sold in lots of 4 pcs for $10. Great mileage as they measure 16X8mm. Order Item# BDS-VN857B. The identical bead, in baby blue is the same price, # 857A

Here is a great little bead, 7mm round, in TOPAZ color with a black inclusion on one side. The inside. Just seeing if you are paying attention! It is transluscent and the color really comes through. Made in AUSTRIA c. 1947. Sold in lots of 12 pcs for $10 per lot. Order # BD-VN-858, locally referred to as pubang beads.
